Title: The Judas Gift Popular views:361
Description   So here I sit, the last vestiges of April are among us and we are a full two months into what is being referred to here on the Web as the POST-Russell Big Finish era. Many were concerned for how the output would be effected with the main driving force behind the lines being taken away and replaced by a team that would over see the madly paced grand schemes of everything. Having listened to everything that Big Finish has released this year in all of it's WHO releated lines.. it is safe to say that the Benny Summerfield line has finally stepped up into it's own and has come out swining as quite possibly the best WHO related line coming out of Big Finish Towers to date.

The Judas Gift is the first true release of the new season. While last month's A Tub Full of Cats was in many ways a second half to a two-part Bernice story revolving around the return of Irving Braxiatel to the collection, The Judas Gift takes us straight into the battleground of a Collection that is situated on the front lines of a War. Almost the entirecast of the Collection is on-hand for this story and, like last season's Summer of Love, the story is stronger for it.

Introduced in this story is Ambassador Kothar, a Draconian, who becomes a representative on the Collection and will be there throughout the season. One cannot help but liken the situation to the Fifth Axis occupation of the Collection during Life During Wartime, and believe me that comparison is well earned. Here we see a Collection coming together and standing their ground, with normal heroine Benny standing on the sidelines and commenting rather than being a key player. Bev Tarrant is above all the star of the story, showing us a great insight to the person she has become, and the memories of past actions that haunt her.

That is just about all I can say about this release without giving spoilers away, and who's to say that the spoilers would actually be accurate in the long run.

All I have to say about this series so far is that the people running the Main Doctor Who range should be taking notes. For this is how you entice your audience to stay.
