Big Finish is delighted to announce the winner of our Phantom of the Opera video competition. Kev F Sutherland, alias the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre, created a simply magnificent entry in which his high-pitched hosiery re-enact classic moments from the Big Finish audio adaptation, from the masked ball to the descending chandelier. £50 of free downloads will be winging their way to you, Kev. Robin Hood finale delayed  from Big Finish News RSS  (2009/7/2 13:01)

While we hate to be the bearers of further bad tidings on the day Robin Hood was sadly cancelled, the final two Robin Hood audio releases, The Deer Hunter and The Siege , have been unavoidably delayed at the reproduction stage. The delay should not be a long one, and copies will be sent out the minute we get them back from the repro house. Apologies for the delay and any disappointment caused.

Later this year, the TARDIS will be returning to Stockbridge - the sleepy English village originally created for the Doctor Who Magazine comic strip and most recently seen in DWM 403-405 in The Stockbridge Child . The new trilogy of audio adventures from Big Finish will star Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, accompanied by Sarah Sutton as Nyssa. "I loved the old 1980s DWM strips set in Stockbridge - The Tides of Time , The Stockbridge Horror , Stars Fell on Stockbridge ," says script editor Alan Barnes. "I loved the idea that the Fifth Doctor would make his home from home in a pretty English village, and that weird stuff would keep on happening there. Dalek Dialogue  from Big Finish News RSS  (2009/6/3 9:26)

A few little snippets of Dalek-related information for you. Firstly, those who've picked up  Enemy of the Daleks will have heard some nifty little extra interviews, but due to time constraints and the inclusion of the second episode of The Three Companions , we had to leave quite a bit of material on the cutting room floor. So, for CD subscribers only, if you check your Subscription Downloads box in your account, you'll find a file of extended interviews about the story. While we think the problem's fixed now, some listeners using Safari have already had some difficulties in that it seems to download with a .zip extension. It is, however, an MP3 file (trust us!) so if you delete the .zip from the end of the filename it should play just fine. Meanwhile, for future Dalek mayhem, check out the trailer for upcoming Sixth Doctor adventure  Patient Zero , which is now available here .
